Small Groups

Small Groups give individuals an opportunity to connect with others. During this fellowship time, you can build relationships with other members and guests of FBW while studying God’s Word. These groups pray for and with each other, encourage each other, and bear one another’s burdens.

We have Small Groups for all ages!

Sunday Evenings @ 6:00 pm

The Church Today | Facilitated by Harold Gaches

Book Cost: $10 (the book is optional)

The focus of this study through John’s Epistles is how a person’s understanding of Jesus impacts their daily lives in practical ways. Believers will come to understand that they can live with the assurance of their eternal life by living in light of their relationship with Jesus.

The 2:7 Series (Book 1) | Facilitated by David King

Book Cost: $11

This study is designed to help believers strengthen their spiritual foundation and grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus.

Youth | Sunday Night Laughs

After a year like 2020, we all could use a good laugh! We are excited for your 7th-12th graders to join us for fun and safe nights of games, activities, and most importantly, the Word!

Children | Spring Arts

Spring Arts allows kids to explore how God uses each of our gifts to bring Him glory. From visual arts to performing arts to the culinary arts, kids will work with a mentor who will encourage them to develop their skills as they grow in Christ.

Tuesday @ 10:00 am

Women’s Bible Study | Facilitated by Carol Leaming

Jesus in Me: Experiencing the Holy Spirit as a Constant Companion
By Anne Graham Lotz

Book Cost: $12.50

We may know something about God the Father and Jesus the Son, but too often we overlook the Third Person of the Godhead—the Holy Spirit. He may seem mystical or reserved for super-spiritual Christians. He is, however, a Person who prays for us, guides us in our relationships and decisions, comforts us in pain, and stays by our side at all times. He is NOT an optional extra in the Christian life; He is a divine necessity. Join us as we explore the key aspects of the Holy Spirit that will revolutionize how you understand and relate to this vital member of the Trinity.

Wednesday @ 6:30 pm

Men’s Bible Study | Facilitated by Barry Cornish

Loving God is vertical love. Loving others is horizontal love. Horizontal Jesus by Tony Evans explores several one-another teachings of scripture to show that we reap more of God’s blessings when we extend those blessings to others.

Women’s Bible Study | Facilitated by Lorrie Shelton & Elizabeth Litchford

Book Cost: $14

In 20/20: Seen. Chosen. Sent. by Christine Caine, you’ll develop a new understanding of how God sees you and has chosen you to help make Jesus’ name known on this planet. Through biblical teaching and lessons from her own life, Christine will challenge you to share the story of how God’s love has transformed your life right where you are.

Youth | Recharge

Recharge is the Youth program that will remind students that we are not limited to what we “empty batteries” are capable of but rather we are empowered by God to do His great works and that the Church is a place in which we “recharge” our batteries.

Children | Awana

The goal of Awana is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and to train them to serve Him. At First Baptist West, we engage kids in games, activities, and projects to help them develop life-long discipleship. Awana gives kids the opportunity to earn awards for memorization, leadership, and service. Kids develop relationships, expand their Bible knowledge, and learn to serve their church community.

Our program is for children age 3 – grade 6. This year we will be offering both in-person and online participation. Click here to register today!!!
