Small Groups

Small Groups give individuals an opportunity to connect with others. During this fellowship time, you can build relationships with other members and guests of FBW while studying God’s Word. These groups pray for and with each other, encourage each other, and bear one another’s burdens.

We have Small Groups for all ages!

Sunday Evenings @ 4:00 pm

Children | AWANA

The goal of Awana is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and to train them to serve Him. At First Baptist West, we engage kids in games, activities, and projects to help them develop life-long discipleship. Awana gives kids the opportunity to earn awards for memorization, leadership, and service. Kids develop relationships, expand their Bible knowledge, and learn to serve their church community.

Our program is for children age 3 – grade 6. This year we will be offering both in-person and online participation. Click here to register today!!!

Tuesday @ 10:00 am

Women’s Bible Study | Facilitated by Carol Leaming

Traveling Light by Max Lucado

Book Cost: $11.00

On our journey through life, it’s easy to pick up extra “baggage.” During our time with Max, we will explore Psalm 23 and learn to release the burdens of self-reliance, discontent, weariness, worry, hopelessness, guilt, arrogance, grief, fear, loneliness, shame, disappointment, envy, doubt, and more—all emotional and spiritual baggage we were never meant to carry. In six verses, learn how to lighten your load as you step ahead in faith.

Wednesday @ 6:00 pm

Adult Bible Study | Facilitated by Bro. Harold Gaches

During the study of Victory of The Disciple, we will be looking at the ultimate victory God has given us through Jesus Christ as well as ways to grow in and enjoy the life He has for us, even in the crazy times we live in.

Women’s Bible Study | Facilitated by Sandy Sharkey

Elijah emerged as the voice of unapologetic truth during a time of national crisis and moral decline. His ministry was marked by tenacious faith and holy fire- the same kind you will need in order to remain steadfast in current culture. Join trusted Bible teacher Priscilla Shirer for a fresh look at Elijah and the difficult choices of obedience that kept him anchored, sharpened his faith, broadened his impact, and invited heaven’s fire to fall.

Youth | Recharge

Recharge is the Youth program that will remind students that we are not limited to what we “empty batteries” are capable of but rather we are empowered by God to do His great works and that the Church is a place in which we “recharge” our batteries.

Children | Choir

Sshh! Grab your trench coat and dark shades and go undercover to join the exciting Christmas kids choir mission in our musical We Three Kings. Over the semester we’ll cover drama, stage production, as well as music!
